My husband and I visited Noumea whilst on a cruise, we had actually pre-booked one of the electric mini-mokes for a day (8 hours) before we even left - we found him setting up in the carpark where you arrive (in Noumea, if you arrive at the working port they put you on shuttle buses to the other port, which has the visitor's centre - that's where the carpark is that he, and everyone else, sets up in)....he gave us some good tips on where to go, and pointed out we had to stay on the peninsula as you are not allowed to go onto the highway in these, but there is enough to see on the peninsula so that wasn't a problem. There is nowhere to lock your valuables which was the only thing we would have loved to have changed, but other than that, this was an absolutely awesome way to spend a day! So much more fun than a bus & much more flexible! Highly recommend it. It cost us roughly AUD$300 for 8 hours but we didn't have any regrets. It had plenty of battery and we had no problems at all with the car, just lots of fun! I was glad it had a roof on it as well as I had been worried about sunburn. Yay!
Great option to have a look at Noumea. The guy that organised the car for us was awesome, nothing was too much trouble. This was our second time in Noumea and this was by far the best way of looking around. If you are from Australia, driving on the opposite side of the road isn’t as any near as bad as you think it will be..
We came over for a day trip on a cruise and stubbled across these guys. We got 2.5 hours for about $150.00 AUD on the credit card and I could not stop laughing driving their little electric beach car around Noumea. Definitely worth it and saw so much in so little time. Customer service was also 5 star
Wife, 2 kids we had fun seeing sites. We found a beach with water slides for our two boys whilst we relaxed on the beach which was great. Owner very friendly and helpful.
Very easy to book, quick reply. They were waiting for us next to the dock, provided iPad with all sites pre set, gave us key info in relation to car and best routes to take, car worked well with only issue taking off on a very steep slope with car up my clacker. Needed to use hand break for hillstart. Loads of fun driving on wrong side of road. Plenty of power and lasted the 4 hours easily. Do your self a favour, book early, as I think these will get very popular very quickly. Highly recommended
