I have done this tour several times with various friends over many years and have always tried to have the wonderful Vivienne as our tour guide. Vivienne always remembers me even when I haven’t been there for several years. Her information is always delivered with grace and humour and is always interesting.

The tour exceeded expectations. Vivian, our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and the sights that we visited. Quirky commentary added to the experience and made for a very enjoyable day.

I booked this for a day in port from a cruise ship. It was excellent value compared to booking a tour through the cruise company. Online booking was easy, and their office is at the terminal or where the shuttle buses drop you if on a large cruise ship. Show your electronic receipt and you are given your ticket.
Richard is a fantastic guide and we appreciated the history and information he imparted. I saw a show many years ago on the wonderful architecture of this complex, and since have always wanted to see it. We only did a walk through of the building, but it was obvious you could spend a few hours here if you had the time.
It was good to see some of the countryside, and you come back along the bays and stop at the lookout which is like a tour in itself.

Unfortunately Norwegian Cruise Line cancelled our port of call in Noumea. I had already booked and paid for the Country Tour, and when I contacted them they offered a refund, just asking for proof that the cruise line had cancelled the port call. I will book with Lyvai in the future if I ever get back to Noumea, New Caledonia.
